As a town board member for the past 3.5 years, I have tried to make a positive difference as Councilman and have paid attention to the details of running the Town government. Those details come from being a life-long resident, from my business experience and from my experience on the board.
My goals are to provide honest, straightforward
and stronger leadership, better management of the Town and it’s
resources, improved fiscal responsibility with a focus on providing
more services, and a real commitment to maintaining and improving
the quality of life for residents.
I will help to repeal or repair the town- wide, one-acre zoning standard that was enacted in December 2006 (which I voted against). This standard has led to residents and farmers being scared, upset, concerned and feeling threatened, developers being confused, and legal fees skyrocketing. I strongly believe that the will of the people was ignored, and now is the time to correct the problems and move on. We need to balance the growth and development that’s coming with common sense legislation that can preserve and protect as well. We need to assist citizens with job creation and affordable housing.
These can be accomplished and must be accomplished.
I look forward to hearing from and working with the citizens of Bethel in the next two years.
